Now, perhaps, we're starting to see why the BBC's Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips was initially announced as getting a series on the back of its - very successful - pilot but then that order was reduced to just two 'special' episodes.
The first of these, broadcast on Wednesday night, pulled in an audience of just over five million, a whopping 2.3m less viewers than the pilot achieved earlier in the year.
